Crocs Brand

Crocs Logo

Crocs were born in 2002 in Boulder, Colorado and were the brainchild of Lyndon "Duke" Hanson, Scott Seamans and George Boedecker. They designed the first Crocs shoe to be a deck shoe that was slip resistant and comfortable to wear all day long. The shoes really took off a couple of years later becoming a global success story, people all over the world were demanding comfy relaxed feet.

Crocs became the Marmite of the fashion world, with lovers and haters in equal measures, one thing that cannot be denied be either side is the comfort and affordability of the product.

Crocs have continued to be successful and have become a huge brand in their own right with people still enchanted with the multi coloured plastic shoes.

Angelina Jolie's kids wear them, they are worn in restaurants, and if you pop along to your local hospital chances are all the nurses will be wearing them too.

Crocs Worldwide Success

Crocs gained world wide success within a short space of time; this was in part due to the instantly recognisable style of the shoes and the bright range of colours but was also the result of the revolutionary material used. Crosslite; the material patented by Crocs is a closed cell resin (PCCR) and has many fantastic qualities. Crosslite is anti bacterial, easy to wash and most importantly moulds to your feet giving you comfy protected feet at all times.

The first shoes were designed to be deck shoes and as a result have a fantastic non slip sole which lets face it here in Great Britain it pretty handy with our weather! They are incredibly light weight which has made them popular with the younger and older generations and everyone in between.

There are many reasons to get your feet into some Crocs not least all the medical benefits of wearing these super comfortable shoes. They are designed to fully support the feet with a massaging footbed to promote blood circulation to keep feet healthy for comfort and to make them feel protected.

They have shock absorbing soles which minimises impact on the joints whilst walking or running around! The ventilation allows the feet to be cool and the Crosslite material prevents bacterial build up and growth, meaning no more cheesy feet.

They are great in all weather; their slip resistant soles mean they can be worn during the rainy season which in the UK is well, all year round! The air holes in the front mean that they also keep you feet cool when the temperature soars!
