Men's Crocs are macho. That's a fact, so there's no point trying
to argue with it. If you're the hunter-gatherer sort,
by which
I mean a man, then you should probably take a look at the
Crocs Off Road Shoe. They're flippin' marvelous!
Just the
thing for even the barmiest, rock-hopping, long-distance
trekker, their slip-resistant sole makes those
casual 30
mile hikes a painless, blister-free delight. And their
anti-bacterial foot beds are odour free, which is handy
because you're a man, so your feet smell. That's a fact
too, like the macho thing, so don't try to argue with it.
Crags & Crocs
The Off Road's strengthened toe caps allow you to dig in to the cracks and crags just as you would with a normal climbing
boot, while maintaining that feeling of walking on clotted-cream that you only get with Crocs. In fact, that principle
applies to every aspect of a walking, hiking or climbing boot: whatever a climbing boot can do, the Crocs Off Road Shoe
can do better and comfortably-er.
Crocs All Terrains
Also designed specifically for men are the Crocs All Terrain footwear. Unusually for a product in the Crocs range, the
All Terrains are laced and, therefore, a little more conservative in terms of their design. But that's where the normality
ends, because these shoes are as unconventionally comfortable as any other from the Crocs range.
Shoes With Soul
These shoes can deal with virtually any terrain you could possibly throw under them, so grippy and sturdy are their soles.
They're fully closed and fully washable too, so they keep your toes dry when it rains, and the inevitable mud-caking that
comes from walking through woods and fields is easily cleanable.
Lightweight Heavyweights
The All Terrains are made with Croc's celebrated patented closed cell resin (PCCR), which makes them light as a feather and
as tough as, well, as tough as old boots (except they're new, obviously, and they're not really boots). Proving that their
name isn't just a clever one, the All Terrains are just as at home in the office too, or trendy restaurants, pubs and bars.
Nick-named 'Dressier Crocs' by Crocs enthusiasts, they're a little smarter and, dare I say it, a little more conventional
than a lot of the rest of the Crocs range, so they can be worn comfortably for more formal occasions.
And how about this: the All Terrains are ideal for big nights out; they're discreet enough to avoid the attentions of
'dress-shoes-only' doormen but also keep your feet comfortable, the way only Crocs can, while you boogie into the wee small
hours.
Crocs Islander Deck Shoes
Islander Deck Shoes are injected with the spirit of their oldest direct ancestors, the Croc's Beach shoe. The Islanders have
the vents and holes that allow sea water and sand to wash clean through, like the Beach Shoe, but this time they're coupled to
the smart, Italian-styled leather upper that oozes maritime tradition and nautical know-how.
Like the All Terrains above, the Islander Deck shoes are lace-ups, but they have a ventilated toe-box which makes them both
cooler and lighter. These really are ideal for boating, with their non-slip soles, mend-bending comfort and non-marking soles.
In fact, crocs were originally intended for just this purpose; when Crocs introduced the Crocs Beach in November 2002 at the
Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show, all 200 pairs were sold out that day, making 200 sailors and boaters extremely happy.
They float too, so if your catamaran, dinghy, canoe or pedalo capsizes and the shoe slips off your foot (unlikely thanks to the
double-stitched uppers and the sturdy laces, but stranger things have happened), you're not going to need scuba gear to get it
back.
