Genesis of the Dig&Sit

Let's begin with a history lesson, shall we? Well, we say 'history', but in their own words, "our history really is very short". In fact, the Dig&Sit was first marketed recently in 2006, and the designer didn't even graduate from his architecture degree until 1998! Speaking of the designer…

PronkDesigners

The Dig&Sit was created by a gifted designer with a passion for surfing and a vaguely rude-sounding name: Evert Pronk. Aside from the brilliant name, which would be ripe for parody if Jellyegg wasn't such a mature, sophisticated website, Mr. Pronk was also an intelligent guy with a keen eye for invention. He recognised that there was a gap in the market for a seaside sofa, and he set out to fill it.

It wasn't long after this historic realization that PronkDesigners, Evert Pronk's design company, had attended four international design conventions with the Dig&Sit, had won a clutch of awards (including the prestigious ISPO Brand New award), and was growing his brand with the addition of new inventions, each one designed to make life that bit easier, and to make relaxing that bit more... well... relaxing.
